Dear Friends & Family,
Last year we didn't get our Christmas letter out until December 24th -
so we are making some progress; another 10 years and it might actually
arrive before Christmas.
Having just completed the birthday season for another year, we have
finally concluded that having three children’s birthdays in December is
not a good idea so we are moving Christie's birthday to June 11 (she is
only two years old so she won't know the difference;)
Christie is by far the most mischievous of our three children. She
thinks every book is a coloring book and that every toy is disposable.
There will be no Christie hand-ne-downs. While Nicole, whenever she
was accused of misdeeds would say NOTHING, Christie's stock answer is
"Nicole did it!”
Nicole is a teenage four-year old. She changes outfits three or four
times a day and she will get into her Mom's makeup anytime its left
out. She likes the boys that come over to play with Stephen much more
than those little four year old boys that she goes to preschool with.
Stephen is now in 1st grade; in addition to math and reading he is
taking Spanish, art and music. He tells me that he likes them all
best. He was on a soccer team in the fall and he also continued his
skating lessons. He has become a real Chicago Bulls fan and it’s hard to
get him to go to bed before the "Budweiser Player of the Game" is
announced,
We were very fortunate this fall when our baby-sitter, Antoinette
returned to us after a year in Jamaica.. She had been with us since
Stephen was six months old and her return has made our household
situation much more manageable.
Suzanne took modern dance classes last summer and has promised that she
will resume them again in the winter. She also has been appointed
President of the Trustees for our Church for the second time. I am
thinking of introducing term-limit legislation so that someone else can
have this opportunity. .
I spent approximately 128 days in Phoenix (19 trips) this year. While
the economy has been pretty rough for automotive product companies we
take some comfort in the realization that as a company we made more money than GM, Ford and Chrysler combined.
We hope you all had a wonderful Holiday.
